HopDog owners Tim and Tess Thomas are proud to announce the long awaited delivery and installation of their 800L brewery.
Tasting and sales, small groups are, as always welcome to visit the brewery, talk and taste our ales and even take beers home.
We have also sourced some of our favorite local produce to offer as tasting plates. Mmmm… Snacks while you sample beer…

SCBW is almost upon us October 18 – 26. So what is HopDog up to this year?
Tim and Jordan from Frankies Pizza by the Slice, created an easy drinking Belgo pale ale for the Great Swillhouse Collaboration Coup pouring all week at Frankie’s Pizza (50 Hunter St, Sydney). It’s called Euro Porn pale, and it’s all about sessionability with a HopDog twisty – 4.3% abv, Belgo yeast, NZ Motueka hops.
Last week Tim travelled to the IBC along with Shark Island and Black Rock Brewing to produce a collaborative ale for the Southern Brewers’ Tap Takeover at the Union Hotel, Sunday October 19th. Sadly the IBC brewery can’t handle the hops that we put into Gorak, so a compromise was made. The Southerly Buster is a Belgian India Red ale brewed with blood oranges, tangellos and navel oranges, and heaps of US hops. The Southern Brewers’ event will also showcase Illawarra and Shire based punk rock and rockabilly bands, including Wollongong favourite Swinging Beef and the Daptoids.
Earlier, Tim and Adam form Platinum Liquor also brewed a collab brew for yet another SCBW event that brings together the awesomness of film and beer, a fermented salute to the celluloid masterpiece that is the Coen Bros. retelling of True Grit. The collected minds devised a brew called La Boufe’s Béte Noire a 7% abv old American stock ale aged on bourbon chips. This beer will be released at the Golden Age Cinema in Surry Hills, Wednesday 22nd October. Info and tickets here.
And just to make matters worse, we’ll be attending a cage styled smack down event at Harts Pub in the Rocks to go toe to toe in a North Coast vs South Coast tap takeover Thursday October 23rd, with Six String Brewing, Ekim Brewing, Illawarra Brewing Co. and HopDog. It will be a blood bath…
We are also attending the SCBW launch at the Giant Dwarf Theatre, Redfern, so get your tickets, ya’ll.
